Weekly Update

Several of our older swimmers competed at this high level USS championship meet last week. We had a very good showing at our second tryout today. A special thanks to the following moms for volunteering their time to help at registration: Tina Lupariello, Shawna Lingo, Denise Siegel and Joy Wethington. Also, we would like to thank the following swimmers for timing: Emma Siegel, Marissa Johnson, Michael Norton, Jonathon Ericksen, Elizabeth Williams, Toe Williams, Kevin McCarthy, Emma Haynes, Andrea Lupariello, Cara Wethington and Grant Wethington. Team work like this enables us to be successful! Thank you!

This coming Wednesday, July 29^th is the Barracuda Family Night that we postponed from last Wednesday. Come join us at 5:30pm at the Y. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

The deadline to register your swimmer(s) for the upcoming season is this Friday, July 31^st!  Once this date has passed, you will have to call the swim team office (474-1400) to get your child signed up.

We will be posting the upcoming season rosters soon on our website. Look under PROGRAMS/COMPETITIVE SWIMMING for this information.

We would like to wish the Kapostasy family a fond farewell on their journey to Australia. Nick, Allison and Alexis will certainly be missed. We would also like to thank both Carla and Mark for all the support, time and effort they have provided over the years. We look forward to seeing all of them again in about 18 months!

I have posted the hotel information on our website for the meets will be attending in 2009. In addition, I have also posted the hotels I have booked for most of 2010. Make sure you check this information and book your room early!

All families of children who swam this summer should be paid in full. If this is not the case, please do so immediately! You can call the swim team office with credit card info. or just pay at the front desk.

Please note that none of our swimmers have been entered into the Y billing system for the upcoming season. Therefore, please do not try to pay for the fall/winter at the front desk! Once all swimmers have been placed in their group and you have been notified via e-mail as a team, you can pay for your fees then.
