Hopefully, you have already marked your
calendar for the Long Course end of the season PARTY and
Registration for Short Course event. Please join us
at Pilgrim Village on Friday, August 14th between 5:00 p.m.
and 7:00 p.m. to share in our potluck dinner and beach
fun (beach volleyball, sand castles, silly relay races, swingsets,
food, and fun!!!). We will have a 2009-2010 Short
Course registration table as well as a "recycled swim stuff sale"
(see details below). Please R.S.V.P. by Monday,
August 10th to Kristin at 330.562.3128 to let us know if
you’ll bring a side dish or dessert. We will
supply drinks, paper products and dogs.
Directions: Pilgrim Village Beach is located just
past 17900 Alden Road. Enter the neighborhood on
Pilgrim Ave - this is the main entrance off Rt. 306 in
Bainbridge. When Pilgrim Ave ends, turn right onto Alden
Road and the beach will be ahead on your left. Park
along the left side of the road, if possible.

So - what is a "recycled swim stuff sale", you
ask? It’s a mini-fundraiser to help defray the cost of
the picnic and the Champs T-Shirts. Do you have suits, fins,
zoomers, kickboards, etc that are too small and collecting
dust? Does your child need a new suit/fins/zoomers because
they have outgrown them? Do you cringe when you think
you’ll have to pay full price for these items
again? We’re organizing a ’trade-up
event’ for a fraction of the cost of new! We will be
collecting anything swim-related that you no longer use in order to
re-sell it. And if you label it with your name and the asking
price, you will get 80% of the profit! The remaining profit will
help offset the cost of the party expenses. (Please feel free
to just donate your items if you don’t want to take the time
to label them - and the team will keep the profit.) All items
should be dry and in usable condition. Please look for the
collection bin at practice this week and next - if you
miss it and still have items to sell, call Kristin to arrange a
pick-up/drop-off date/time (or bring them on the 14th).
