5 CMSA swimmers competed in the Southern Zone Championships in
Orlando, FL over the past weekend. Swimmers are ranked based on the
performance at Southeastern Championships and the top 7 from each
age group are rewarded with a spot on the Zone
Championship team. Griffin Fisk, Parker Glass, Will Glass,
Carl Madden, and Spencer Kerns; along with Coach Greg Davis,
who served as a member of the Southern Zone coaching staff,
represented Mobile swimming very well.
8 new team records were set during the meet: Griffin Fisk
lowered her own mark in the 100 Free to 1:01.15; Parker Glass beat
her own and team best in the 100 Back at 1:06.27; Will Glass
established four new team records in the 200 Back (2:12.13), 100
Fly (58.87), 200 Fly (2:11.14), and 200 IM (2:19.15); and Spencer
Kerns set new records in the 200 Back (2:09.15) and 100 Breast
(1:06.82). Congratulations to all the CMSA swimmers who represented
our team and Southeastern Swimming so well at Zones.
