Pulido shines at Far Westerns....

 
(San Jose, CA) - 1400 of the best age group athletes in the Region, including teams from Mexico, Canada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington brought their "A" games to the 2009 Far Western Age Group Championships. The competition was held this past weekend at Independence High School in San Jose.

Elizabeth Pulido had a dominant weekend in the 11-12 Girl's competition, winning the Gold in 4 out of her 8 events. Pulido won the 200 Free, 400 Free, 100 Backstroke and 200 Backstoke in SMSC Team Record times.

Joining Pulido at the competition was Karen Hendrick. Hendrick finaled in the 100 Backstroke and 100 Freestyle.

While not making finals, Joey Romero and Lora Lougee faired well with some good swims.
