Jeff Cryder, the current SSL President, announced via
e-mail to all clubs on Friday, July 31 than an FSO swimmer who
participated at Champs has a confirmed case of H1N1 virus
(aka Swine Flu). A second FSO swimmer was reported
to also have H1N1 but this case has not yet been verified by
FSO.
The SSL is communicating the information to all clubs so that
families can monitor their swimmers who may or may not have been
exposed during Champs weekend.
The initial symptoms are body aches, fever and
lethargy. For detailed information, please go to the Center for
Disease Control's website, http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/key_facts.htm or
watch this CDC video on H1N1 symptoms: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wK1127fHQ4&feature=channel_page.
