WAVE Swimmers...in the Zone

Four of WAVE’s finest traveled to Orlando with the NC Zone Team.  Team North Carolina placed third overall behind Florida Swimming and the Southeastern LSC.  

Dealing with the obstacles of adjusting to the outdoors, enduring 5 days of 100 degree heat and Florida humidity, Team North Carolina and WAVE Swimmers put in strong efforts throughout the week! 

In the 13-14 Boys-Wesley Sigmon placed 3rd in the 100 Backstroke and was a part of the 4th place 200 Free Relay.  Ryan Cade finished 9th in the 200 Breaststroke and 10th in the 100 Breaststroke and 400 IM.

For the 13-14 Girls- Kelsey Moore was a part of the winning 200 Medley Relay and 3rd place 200 Free Relay, while placing 6th in the 200 Backstroke. And in the 11-12 Girls -Olivia Ontjes was a part of the winning 200 free and 200 Medley Relays, while winning the 50 Breaststroke. Ontjes also placed 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke and 50 Freestyle, 4th in the 100 Freestyle and 6th in the 200 Freestyle.
