Twenty swimmers
from the mighty Bearcat Swim Club competed at the 2009 Long Course
11 & Over State Championships last weekend at Mount Hood
Community College in Gresham, Oregon. The Bearcats swam against the top
swimmers from all around Oregon during the four-day
competition. Each day
the coaches witnessed new lifetime best swims from almost every
race and several first place finishes! Overall the Bearcats placed
11th out of 40 teams.

Congratulations to these top 8 finishers and a superb job to all of
the Bearcats who competed at State. Next up, four swimmers (Emma Dow,
Evette Dow, Allie Rasmussen and Mackenzie Rumrill will
represent the Bearcat Swim Club in Hawaii to compete in the Western
Zones Championships.
Tori Simenec and Crystal Kibby will race with the nation’s
best at the U.S. Open.
Good luck to those swimmers! The team will conclude the
summer season in Bend at the Bend Open.
