On July 31-Aug 2 the Rockford Marlins competed in the 2009 Long
Course IL Age Group Championships at
Stevenson High School. The following athletes swam in
the competition: Madelynn Marunde, Peter Danzl-Tauer, Nathan
Krinickas, Zak DeRango, Jack Tribble, Olivia Cacciatore, Courtney
Gray, Allison Krinickas, Nikki Hall, and Sydney Beall.
Jack
Tribble, Olivia Cacciatore, and Courtney Gray all earned
their way onto team Illinois for the Zone Olympics swimming meet
Aug. 6-9 in Noblesville, IN.
A very special recognition goes out to Jack Tribble and
Olivia Cacciatore, for their top eight finishes. Jack Tribble
was the STATE CHAMPION in the 200m Individual Medley, 2nd place
200m
Backstroke, 3rd place 400m Individual Medley and 200m
Freestyle, and 6th place 100m Backstroke. Olivia Cacciatore
was 6th place in the 200m Breaststroke and 7th place in the
100m
Breaststroke. Way to go Marlins!
