Hi guys,
Lee went to the monthly bingo meeting last night. Evidently,
there was a small child actually putting his hands in a pickle
bucket helping his parent get or count pickles. That is
against state laws. We don't know if it was a Dolphin team or
not---they never said. So now the hall has decided that NO
CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 14 WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE WORK AREA AT THE
BINGO HALL. They can still come and sit at a table in the
general area where the players sit or they can stay in the back
room, but they can't be out in the cash register/pickle area.
They said that 2 years ago, at the other hall, an inspector came in
and saw kids behind the pickle bar and closed the session down
immediately. We can't afford to have this happen. We
know this sucks, but it is state law and they've decided to enforce
it.
Patty, can you please send this out to the whole team and then
put this on the Dolphin website.
They also wanted all groups reminded that no food is
allowed on the caller stand.
That's it, I think!
Thanks!
Susan
