Valley Swim Team Long Course Championship Round-up 2009! revised

ISI Senior Champs, July 16-19 at The University
of Chicago- 27 Fox
seniors competed the first championship meet of the
season. Competing in the meet were-Andrea Belter, Grant
Betulius, Andrew Bratsos, Amanda Childs, Rob Cicchini, Kevin
Cordes, Ashley Cusack, Gia Dalesandro, Ryan Farmer, Brien Gerber,
Katherine Hare, Conner Jager, Jeanette Nolte, Kevin Overholt,
Kathleen Patterson, Alisa Penkala, Hans Peters, Andrew Quinn,
Hannika Schleebs, Burke Sims, Hannah Soltys, Adam Stacklin, Michael
Stack, Courtney Taylor and Robert Vechiola.
2009 Speedo Sectional Meet, July 22-25 at The
Univ of Minnesota- 14 of our top seniors went on to compete in
the Sectional meet. Sectional competors- Grant Betulius, Andrew
Bratsos, Amanda Childs, Kevin Cordes, Ashley Cusack, Brien Gerber,
Conner Jager, Kevin Overholt, Kathleen Patterson, Hans Peters,
Andrew Quinn, Burke Sims, Courtney Taylor and Atlantis
Wilkins.
2009 Speedo ISI Age Group Championship, July
31-Aug 2,
Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire
IL-Our top age group
swimmers represented our team very well, placing tenth overall.
Michael Stack captured dual state titles winning both the 100 and
200 meter breast stroke events!!!! Top Fox individual points
for this meet were earned by Jack Levant, Jack earned 100 points by
placing 2nd in 5 events and 4th in his
6th event! Also competing in the meet-Brooke
Bedford, Victoria Castle, Gia Dalesandro, Gian Luis Delgado, Ryan
Dulaney, Sal Eroties, Zach Finkelstein, Todd Kuebelbeck,
Elizabeth Mordach, Ethan Morse, Kelly O’toole, Aaron Parast,
Katie Poedtke, AJ Quinn, Aditya Rajan, John Ruan, Michael Schwers,
Adam Stacklin, Alexa Steffl, Cole Steffl, Julia Stege, Alex Thoele,
James Tidd, Eric Weng, Brett Whaley, Jerry Wu and Kevin
Wu.
2009 Central Zone Championship, Aug 7-10, Forest
Park Aquatic Center, Noblesville IN Team Illinois wins the central zone
championship with the help of the following Fox swimmers-Jack
Levant, Ethan Morse, Michael Stack, Adam Stacklin, and James
Tidd.
Michael Stack wowed the crowd with double gold,
winning the 100 and 200 meter breast stroke events.
2009 Speedo Junior National Championships, Aug
10- 14, Federal Way WA. Five Fox senior swimmers headed west for
the final meet of the season! Kevin Cordes, Conner Jager,
Kevin Overholt, Hans Peters, and Burke Sims all swam some life
time best and Fox record breaking swims and placed 19th
in the country!!!!
