Swimming Continues Gold Medal Performances

Karyn Jewell (Delta) won Team BC’s first medal of the second week with a gold medal performance in the 1500m freestyle in 16:29.45. Julianne Brown (North Vancouver) was 4th in 16:35.44.

"I felt really good," said Jewell who is only 15-years-old. "I knew I needed to keep ahead and stay ahead and not die in the middle."
