This is always a
very popular and fun event.
All 12&U

highly
encouraged to attend.
Also we want all
of you parents to come and watch the fun from the

Hopefully this
can be the biggest and best "Turkey"

Update
Coach
Kristen Fresch
Since the beginning of the season we have had nothing but
success with the Novice team. This past weekend at Shorewood
was no different. All of the Novice kids swam great and each
person got at least one best time, if not more.
This week we have focused mostly on backstroke and backstroke
starts. Also this week we have begun swimming longer
warm-ups.
Since we have some meets coming up that require some of the
kids to do 200s, they requested that we get some extra
practice.
After Thanksgiving, I plan on increasing the number of sets
the kids swim in practice.
Before Thanksgiving, I encourage everyone to attend TURKEY
RELAYS on Saturday. It is definitely the most exciting
practice of the season!!!

Weekly Emphasis
This week the emphasis is on the Freestyle technique, Flip
turns, and relay exchanges.
Attendance continues to run very high. As I stated last week I
love it when everyone is at practice!
With the schools off next week I understand there will be many
families heading out of town. If you have not done so please let me
know of your absence.
TURKEY RELAYS
I hope to see everyone this Saturday as we compete in some
wacky thanksgiving themed relays. Parents are encouraged to attend
and watch from the balcony.
SHOR (11/15/09)
We had 31 Age Group swimmers competing in this
competition. The rest of the 12&U team competed as well
(NOV & AGT) which adds up to 70 EBSC 12&U swimmers at the
meet. I enjoyed the team atmosphere and cheering which went
on.
Swimmers recording best times were: Tatianna Babikova, Sara
Kirmis, Alex Larkin, Jonathan Lee, Chloe Olier, Sebastian Peralta,
Jack Ulmer, Kevin Van Cleave, and Jessica Westcott.
Swimmers recording two best times were: Natalie Daniel,
Veronica Daniel, Jenna Dimicelli, Anna Haas, Ryan Linnihan, Molly
Perkins, Renata Schlomann, Jon Skipper, Sabrina Wang, Leah
Westcott, and Henry Wu.
Swimmers recording three best times were: Peter Jing, Tomer
Korabelnikov, Daniel Lee, and Rachel Werking.
Swimmers recording four best times were: Corey Li, Sean
Linnihan, Lauren Rein, and Sarah Werking.
Positives:
1) Team was prompt which allowed us to secure 2 lanes and swim
a proper warm-up.
2) Swimmers were very supportive of teammates.
3) Swimmers were very good about talking to me regarding
races
Negatives
1) Relay exchanges were sub par
2) Missed events (relay)
3) Swimmers had a hard time adjusting to the bulkhead on
turns.
New Senior
Update
Coach Paul
Vasquez and Coach Peter Nowak
We have had a great week with some
hard workout days, but everybody is doing their best. Keep up
the great work. We are trying to get some harder workouts in
this week, and more yardage. With Thanksgiving coming soon,
please try to make every practice. You are going to have a
long weekend off, with 4 days off. It is very important to
make it to the pool even if it is only for an hour.
We have been doing a great job
with handling all the change that has gone on the past few
weeks. I know that it has been tough, but all of you have
done a great job. Peter and I are very proud to be filling
and working with all of you. I know that Coach Z is also very
proud of all the hard work you have all done. I know that we
will keep him in our thought during the next two weeks. Keep
up the hard work and see you at the pool.
