Scott Usher Joins Parkway Coaching Staff

The Parkway Swim Club would like announce that we hired Coach to Scott Usher as our Head Site Coach for the West programs.  Scott comes to us from Boilermaker Aquatics in Indiana . 

Scott’s swimming and Coaching background is impressive, to say the least.  He was a Member of the USA National Team for 5 Years, from 2004-2009.  He was a member of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team that traveled to Athens , Greece , after finishing in the top 2 at the Olympic Trials that same summer in the 200 Breaststroke.  Scott was a member of the World Championship Team in 2006, winning a Silver medal, one year after participating at the Pan Pacific Championships and winning a bronze medal.  Scott has performed at the highest levels of national and international swimming competition that is available in our sport, and brings that expertise and knowledge to our club.  Scott is one of the finest Breaststrokers that the U.S. has ever produced. 

Before moving to West Lafayette for training reasons Scott served seven months as the volunteer assistant with the University of Wyoming in Laramie , Wyoming .   Since Scott retired last summer from swimming, he has been working as an age group coach for Boilermaker Aquatics where he was working with their top 8 to 12 year old athletes.
