Practice Schedule this week
On Tuesday Sept
15, the Proviso West High School girls swim team are hosting a meet
at Proviso West. There will be no practice for Developmental
and Intermediate I groups, but there will be practice for
Intermediate II and Advanced group swimmers after the
meet.
Practice is
scheduled as normal all other days.
USS Clinic,
4:00pm Thurs Sept 17
Don’t forget
that on Thursday Sept 17, several elite swimmers and coaches will
be conducting a clinic for our swimmers at 4:00pm.
This clinic is for
EVERYONE. You do not need to be an experienced swimmer to attend.
Swimmers of all levels will get something out of the
clinic.
The clinic will
start off with a talk from one of the swimmers. This is a
great opportunity for our swimmers to ask questions of some of the
country’s best swimmers and learn some tips. After the talk
we will break up into smaller groups for some more specific
technique work in the water. All swimmers will have a chance to
work closely with a great swimmer…maybe an
Olympian.
Parents are
invited to observe the clinic and take photographs, but are
requested to remain in the stands. Parents and siblings will not be
able to stay on the pool deck during the clinic.
We are also
planning to have some snacks for the kids (as it will be a very
long afternoon if they are staying for practice). Any parents that
can contribute a healthy snack (fruit, granola bars,
Gatorade) please reply to this email.

If you are unsure
if your swimmer will attend, please reply to this email. We would
just like to get as accurate a count as possible so we can plan
accordingly.
Sign up Deadline for Joliet Jets Ghostly Gathering Swim
meet on October 24-25.
Even though the Joliet Jets meet is not the first meet on our
calendar, the signup deadline is midnight TONIGHT. If your swimmer
will be attending, please sign up online TODAY. Entries will not be
accepted after the deadline.

Information Night
Don’t forget
that our parent Information night is on Wednesday Sept
23rd at 5;30pm. Parents of swimmers new to the team are
expected to attend.
