Solon Star Named National Merit Scholarship semifinalist

Cleveland, OH  -  Nearly 200 Northeast Ohio high school seniors are among about 16,000 semifinalists announced today by National Merit Scholarship Corp. Chosen on the basis of high scores on the Preliminary SAT, the semifinalists represent less than 1 percent of high school seniors nationwide. Roughly 15,000 of the semifinalists are expected to advance as finalists and compete for National Merit Scholarships to be announced next year.
