Rocky Mount Invitational
Wave kicked off it’s meet season this
past weekend with a great meet in Rocky Mount at the Rocky Mount
YMCA. The meet was
held Saturday and Sunday and the team had a fantastic start to the
2009-2010 season. Wave
has seen tremendous success recently and the team was able to
continue that with some great performances this past weekend
including many best times and new time standards achieved. Many of the swimmers who
participated were not only able to drop time from their entry
times, but dropped from their converted times from the summer as
well. Having a meet in
September, not long after the start of the season, is usually a
good indicator of where we are and where we need to improve. Based on the fantastic
swimming in Rocky Mount this should prove to be another record
breaking season for Wave.
The following swimmers achieved new short
course time standards in just this first meet of the season. Congrats and a nice job by
everyone this past weekend.
