On Saturday, September 12, DCST swimmer Ashley Kim (age 12, St. Bernard Practice Group) was seriously injured. While at a friend’s house for a birthday party, Ashley dove into a shallow pool, hit her head on the bottom and has become paralyzed from the waist down. She is currently undergoing surgeries on her back and spine in Madison, Wisconsin. Yesterday, she had a tracheotomy.
