SWIM TEAM PARENTS’ INFORMATIVE MEETINGS: It was impressive to see the great parent meetings turn outs on Sept 22 and Sept 26. Approximately 50 parents were in attendance. It is gratifying to see the interest on the part of the swim team parents. As explained a parent swim team newsletter will be available starting in October. Much of the information being forwarded to parents originates from ASCA
(America Swim Coaches Association). It will be available on our web site and sometimes included in a section of the monthly team newsletter.

PROCESSING SWIM TEAM ENTRIES: If you are not in the know about how to process swim meet entries ask Patti. Meet information will soon be available on the BISC website.   An explanation of how to enter meets is also outlined on the BISC website. A hard copy of each meet is also on the Ray pool BISC Bulletin Board reminding you of the entry deadline for that meet. Congratulations on the 70+ BISC entries in our first meet, Oct 4th here on Bainbridge Is. Remember, parents, meets are fun for the swimmers. Non meet participants often do not stay with the sport long. Encourage your swimmer to participate.

BISC SWIM CLINIC: Thanks to John Keppler for his talk and leadership in holding our team swim clinic. Swimmers practice what you learned at this clinic.

NEWER YOUNGER SWIMMERS: “Learn to swim slowly well, then, swim faster with good technique. And older swimmers “Don’t cheat the man in the glass”.

CD’s AVAILABLE @ SILVER SCREEN VIDEO: Free check out of the CD’s on the four competitive strokes for BISC swimmers are available @ Silver Screen Video in the
back side of the Safeway Shopping Center. Please take advantage of this service.
