Aquadart Weekly Announcements (Oct 5th)

 

  1. Candy Meet – The candy meet deadline is this Wednesday October 7th.  The meet is this Friday at Community pool at 4pm.  It should be a fun evening and it looks like is going to warm up to around 83 degrees by Friday.  Attached is the sign-up form to turn in to your coach.

 

  1. Randall Bal Clinic – We have nine spots open for the Randall Bal clinic this Saturday.  The clinic is from 2pm – 4pm and we will continue to take sign-up forms until Tuesday night.  How often does a “World Record Holder” come to our pool in Davis ? 

 

  1. Movie Night – We are having a team popcorn/movie night on Friday, October 16th.  Younger swimmers will meet at Civic pool (Brady building) while older swimmers will meet at Community pool building.  We will send out the movies on next weeks announcements so everyone can make sure the movie is appropriate.

 

  1. Halloween Practice – We will have a fun practice for Halloween on October 30th at Civic pool.  All groups will practice together with cool activities and fun! 

 

  1. Aquadart Banquet - SAVE THE DATE: The Aquadart banquet is scheduled for Sunday, November 1st from 5pm - 8pm at the Davis Senior Center .  The aquadart award recipients are listed on the September newsletter.  Please make sure to check your status on the newsletter (http://www.aquadarts.org/snsad/__doc__/66638_2_Sept%2009.pdf).  You can sign-up on the Aquadart website. 

 

  1. Redding Meet (Nov 7/8)– The Redding meet is open on swim connection.  This is a travel meet and we have hotel reservations.  Check out the info on the website when you click this meet.  This meet is open to all levels of swimmers and should be fun with a great team dinner scheduled for Saturday night.

 

  1. Parent Volunteers (THANKS) – This is a quick “Thank You” plug for ALL our parent volunteers at the Davis Meet last week.  The meet ran extremely smooth and was due to all our fantastic parents.  A quick special “Thank You” to our volunteers that organized the event:
    1. Jim Hickerson – Organized the set-up and take-down
    2. Sally Hamilton & Allen Crow – Meet Directors
    3. Lyn Alvarez – Snack Bar & Hospitality
    4. Kerry Halsted – Volunteer Coordinator

    7. Ted Curley – Meet Referee
    8. Brad Winsor – Brad put in a ton of time organizing, meet entries, set-up and multi-tasking all weekend! 
    9. Jennifer Van Court Entries & equipment pick-up. 
    10. ALL THE VOLUTEERS – If you are not listed above please note that we all greatly appreciate your help.  The meet was a huge success due to EVERYONE’S hard work!
