GWSC Sprint Challenge

Friday evening eight members of GWSC Senior Elite training group battled it out for bragging rights in the Sprint Challenge. For the Gold Squad, Cindy Tran and Susie Shiley represented the women, while Josh Roe and Josh Kloppenburg represented the men.  Kelsey Cummings, Ali Gillespie, Josh Torchia and Lyndon Tran comprised the Green Team. 

The team competition was close and sometimes saw the men’s competition tied and the women separated by less than two points.  In the end the Gold Team scored 74 points; eight points ahead of the Green Teams 66 points.  On the men’s side the Gold Team prevailed again with a score of 80 to 60.  The Gold Team had a combined score of 154, while the Green Team had 126 points. 

In the individual competition Cindy Tran took the high point award 53 points.  She touched the wall first in 13 of the 14 events.  On the men’s side Josh Roe scored 50 points in route to the men’s high point title.
