Dear Parents,
We have gotten through the first month and I
am happy to say the registration process is almost behind us. The
kids are starting to look good in the water again and we are
getting excited for our upcoming meets.
Parent
Meeting
There will be parent meetings in both Rockland
and Westchester this week. We will be meeting at Felix Festa on
Wednesday, October 7th and at WCC on Thursday, October
8th. We will be discussing parent volunteering,
fundraising and other topics of interest; I hope you can all
attend.
Registrations
We still have several families that are
missing registration paperwork. You have been emailed several
times; please turn in the necessary forms as soon as possible.
Opt-Outs
The next opt-out deadline is October
7th for the Condors November Meet. If you do not plan to
attend this meet, it is imperative you opt-out because even though
we do not typically charge our swimmers for our home meets
(something most teams do) we will be charging anyone that does not
opt-out and also does not show up for the meet. This hurts our team
in several ways, first it creates more work for our coaches and
administration and it also takes the place away from another
swimmer who could have swum in the meet. Please be courteous and
opt-out ahead of time.
Fundraising
Tom Keaveney has been working hard on several
team fundraisers. He will be discussing them in detail at
tomorrow’s parent meeting. Lottery tickets can be purchased
starting Wednesday at the parent meetings, please

We will also be selling Entertainment Books
(Westchester Ed.) which feature great discounts and coupons. These
will be available at the meetings and from our coaches or the
office. Please visit the fundraising page on the team website to
learn more.
We have added corporate sponsorships to the
list of available fundraisers for all our home meets. All
sponsorship packages for the upcoming home meet will be due by
October 19th at the latest.
Upcoming Meets
The entries have been posted for the Suffern
and AGUA meets and can be found on the website. The entries for our Condors Fall
Festival and NYSA November meet will be posted soon.
Swim
Across America
We are participating in Swim Across America
this year and it will be held on October 17th for our
Gold and Senior groups. Please bring a donation of $10 to the pool
on this date, all proceeds will go towards benefiting cancer
research.

Parent
Volunteering.
Job sign-ups have been posted for all our home
meets this season. Please begin to sign-up now so you can reserve
your spot and satisfy the parent volunteer hourly requirements.
This will also help to ensure that we have enough parents helping
with each meet and the Condors continue to host popular and
efficient events.
