The coaching staff of MCAT is extremely
proud of these swimmers. They were selected for these awards
because they exhibited excellence and dedication in and out
of the pool . "Swimmer of the Year" is based on dedicated and
consistent performance at meets. It is given to an athlete that
shows leadership on the team and competence as the club’s
best swimmer. The "Swim of the Year" is the most heroic and
awesome swim by an MCAT member. "Most Valuable" is
selected to honor the swimmer who earns the most team
points and who participates at the highest level of
competition for their age group and gender. "Most
Inspirational" is given to the swimmer who inspires others by
exhibiting positive attitude and leadership through
actions at practice and at meets. "Most Improved" is based on
practice improvement and meet improvement. This award is
subjective and is given to the swimmer showing improvement in all
areas of swim development. The "Coaches Award" is often given
to the swimmer that tries the hardest, listens well, wants to
improve, shows improved times at meets and provides
outstanding leadership in and out of the pool. This goes to a
well rounded swimmer and is subjective in selection. The "Fastest
Swimmer" on the team is given this award regardless of any
other factors ( but must meet Sectional Time Standards for
consideration). "Most dedicated" swimmer is just that,
dedicated to work outs, attendance, meets and to their
team-mates.
2009 was an outstanding year for all MCAT
swimmers. What will you achieve in 2010?
