Julie Pendleton makes Scholastic All American Team

BREAKING NEWS:

JULIE PENDLETON MAKES SCHOLASTIC ALL AMERICAN TEAM.

Julie Pendleton is a former BISC swimmer who swam with BISC for many years before graduating from Bainbridge High School last year. She is now at the University of Chicago.  

She has just made the Scholastic All American Team which is wonderful news and an inspiration to all our swimmers.

Listed below are the requirements and qualifying standards for this award.

 
 

Eligibility:
 
                        High School student athlete with USA Swimming membership
 
 
                        Completed Grades 10, 11 or 12
 
 
                        3.5 GPA for the current academic year in academic subjects only
 
 
                        Individual qualifying time in the USA Times database Achieved qualifying time between July 1, 2008 and June 31, 2009 (see table for qualifying times).  Julie qualified at the 11/08 state meet with her 100 Fly :57.84 and 200 IM 2:09.12.  Also she made it in the 200 Fly at Senior Sectionals March 2009 – 2:07.27.
 
 
                        Open Water swimmers must have competed in the 2008 or 2009 Open Water Championships in Ft Myers, FL
 
 
                        Swimmers with disabilities must have competed in the 2009 Paralympic Championships in Gresham, OR the Summer CanAm Championships in Edmonton AB.
 
 
                        Members of the 2006ý]2007 Scholastic All America team who do not have a qualifying standard must complete the attached waiver.
 

 
Awards:
 
                        Three certificates will be awarded to each individual achieving Scholastic All America status (one for the athlete, one for the school, and one for the USA Swimming Club).
