Fall
Jamboree: Thanks for all the support of the Senior group in
running a successful Fall Jamboree this weekend. We hosted
193 swimmers from the Junior group and the Orinda Aquatics Fall
programs. Special thanks to Cynthia Funai, our computer
expert, for inputing all the meet entries and setting up the meet
and to Lorree Swinton, our snack bar chair, for voluntarily
providing a snack bar for the event. The meet times will be
approved by Pacific Swimming and will count as official times,
thanks to he presence of our meet officials, former OA parents,
Mike Metcalf and John Dorr and current OA parents Rick Giambastini
and Peter Lum. Without these officals, the meet would not be
considered an official USA swim meet. Way to go OA parents
and Senior group
swimmers.
Orinda Aquatics
A+ Meet, Nov. 14-15: Mark your
calenders! We will be hosting an A+ meet at the Soda center
for Pacific Swimming. The meet is already sanctioned and
available online for entry. This is a team meet and all
swimmers who should enter. The minimum time is an "A" time,
with 1 bonus event for each day that you have an "A"
time.
All familiies are required to
fulfill their team meet work commitment. Our new parent
coordinator, Julia Fuqua, is already busy at work putting together
the work assignments. Orinda Aquatics has a tradition of
running outstanding meets and providing great snack bar and
hospitality. We could not do this without the support and
cooperation of our parent group contributing your time and donating
food items to the snack bar and hospitality. Let’s keep the
tradition
alive!
Monthly Dues
Reminer: All monthly swim
payments are due the 1st of each month. Invoices
for each month are generated on the 21st of the
preceeding month. You can log into your member account and
view your invoices at any time. Please send your payments to:
5101 Coach Drive, El Sobrante, CA 94803. Thank you for making
payments on time. Team Policy: outstanding dues of over a
month can result in swimmers being held out of the water until
balances are paid.

Concord: All Senior swimmers who qualify.
They will be running two sessions. Session A requires a Sr
T&F time, Session B requires a Sr time. 2 bonuse events
per session allowed. Meet entry deadline is Wednesday October
28th.

Now - Orinda Aquatics A+, Nov. 14 &15, Soda
Center:
Team hosted meet. You
must have entered a minimum "A" time standard. 1 Bonus event
for each day that you have an "A" time. This meet potentially
will fill before the deadline so please enter early. Once the
meet reaches capacity and closes, we cannot add swimmer (even our
own).
Team Gear:
As part of
the annual fee this fall, each swimmer will receive a team
suit. Team suits are being ordered
today.
We are a
Nike sponsored team and would like all swimmers to have a team
jacket and wear a team suit at all Non-Peak/Big
Meets.
All team
attire can an be purchased at NorCal Swim Shop in Walnut
Creek. Parents, we do have Team Polo’s available
through Norcal. We would love to get parents in team gear
too. Thanks!
