Rio Grande League Overview

The Rio Grande League is hosted by NMS & DUKE.  These meets are for athletes that have not acheived a NMQT.  So state qualifiers may only swim events in which they have not made QT's.  The meets are primarily for new swimmers.  Every 10 & under swimmer is given a ribbon based on their heat finish.  This fun & rewarding atmosphere makes it much easier for new kids to have a positive experience.

The first meet this season will be hosted by SRR on Oct 25.  The second one will be hosted by TAOS on Nov 22.  Duke will host the thrird meet at WMAC on Dec 13.  The fourth one will be hosted by CSF at GCCC on Jan 17.  Each host will send out meet info approximately 4 weeks before the meet...entries are due 10 days in advance.  Cost is always $10 per athlete per meet attended.

Meet info will posted on our website as it is received from the host teams. An overview will be posted in DOCUMENTS.

There will be a RGL Championship meet on Feb 6-7.  Again, for non-state qualifiers.
