FAMOUS PUMPKIN PIE
RECIEPE

½ cups sugar
1
tsp salt
2
tsp ground cinnamon
1
tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cloves
4
large eggs
1
can (29 oz) pumpkin
2
cans (12 fl. Oz. each) evaporated milk
Makes 2 x 9 inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish
pie shells

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small
bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and
sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated
milk. Pour into pie shells.

BAKE in preheated 425 degrees F oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F ; bake for 40-50 minutes or
when the knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on
wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or
refrigerate.
Pie tins will be distributed to swimmers who are
baking pumpkin pies. Find a simple recipe for pie
crust.
Please bring pies to the Sunday morning event
and display with pumpkins on tables at poolside.
