DavisAquadarts Meet
Recaps
The Davis Aquadarts had a great weekend around
the Northern California area at swim meets in Walnut Creek and Lodi
. The Aquadarts had 15 swimmers compete in Lodi and another
10 swimmers compete in Walnut Creek .
Weekend Highlights included a new USA.SCY
Senior National qualifying time from Beverly Nguyen in the 200 Fly.
The Senior National standard is one step below Olympic Trials.
Nguyen also broke two Aquadart team records (200 Free & 200
Fly) with a weekend of five personal best times.
Riley Hickman broke three Sierra Nevada LSC
records for 11-12 boys and five Aquadart team records.
Hickman broke the LSC records in the 50 Free, 1000 Free, and 1650
Free. Hickman’s 1650 Free (17:2162) time broke the LSC
record by twenty six seconds.
“The entire team swam very well this
weekend” said Coach Billy Doughty. “We had some
great swims from our younger age group swimmers like Sean Kos,
Grace Hickerson, Emily Barksdale, and Scout Brown. The rapid
improvement from our swimmers has really been impressive this
fall.”
We
are especially proud of all our athletes listed below with time
improvements. Every group has been working extremely hard
this fall and the effort is paying off with fast times.
Though the weather is starting to cool off, keep up the attendance
and the times will continue to drop.
The next meet for the Aquadarts is the
Vacaville meet in which the program has 108 swimmers entered to
compete. The Redding meet and the Sierra Marlins meet are
open for sign-ups at this time.
