THIRD FALL LEAGUE MEET NETS FAST TIMES, NEW RECORDS!

THIRD FALL LEAGUE MEET NETS FAST TIMES, NEW RECORDS!

Thanks to all the swimmers and parents who came out to our meet at Scottsdale’s Cactus Pool on October 10.  We had quite a few swimmers out with the flu, but those who did swim put up some great times, almost all lifetime bests.  Lots of Team Records fell and many new State Qualifying (Q) times were achieved.  Congrats to all!

Session 1

We had lots of MAC swimmers in the water, with our youngest being 5 year old Briana Le.  Congrats to 8 year old Kate McBratney on her 3 for 3 achievement of state Q times in the 10 & Under age group and MAC team records in the 8 and Under category in all 3 swims: 50 free, 50 breast, and 100 free.  12 year old Kyle Zabokrtsky also received state Q times in his 3 swims: 50 back,  50 fly, and 100 free as well as team records in the 11-12 boys 50 fly and 100 free.   Justin Le tackled the 9-10 boys team records in the 50 fly and the 50 free and Jackie Winston crushed the 11-12 girls record in the 100 IM. Several swimmers are within 100ths of seconds on attaining Q times and/or making team records we look forward to more fast swims at the Gaucho meet on October 24.

Session 2:

This very small band of the second session, comprised just three swimmers: Brie Alford, Ty Dang and Makenna Schmidgall.   Both Brie and Ty had all lifetime best times in their swims.  Ty made new team records in the 11-12 boys category of the 200 free, 50 free, and 200 back stroke while Brie picked up a Far Western time in the 100 back and broke the 11-12 girls team records in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events. Makenna, approaching her lifetime bests, managed to break team records in the girls 13-14 category in all 3 swims: 100 fly, 200 fly and 100 breast.

Go MAC!!
