Board Elections have been
finalized:
Congratulations to returning board
members Richard Nevins, Henry Williams and Joe Connelly and to our
new FLEET Board member Letty Joyce. All four were elected to terms on
the FLEET Board at last nights annual meeting. Again Congratulations to all and
I wish you all continued success.
Thanks also to the members who added their
name to the ballot but were not elected. It was a close election. Its great to see more
people getting involved in the process. We had 7 members run for the four
available spots – the highest number I can recall and we had
more than enough votes cast meeting our bylaw requirements without
an issue, another great response.
We thank you for taking the time to get
involved to make FLEET the club it is today and will be in the
future.
This was my last annual meeting as a Fleet
member and president. I have been on the board for 10 years and
president for 8 and I have enjoyed the challenges and the
significant progress we have made. The membership is up, the
swimmers continue to succeed and our facility is one of the best in
the country.
