Dunks Dolphins
DCST began its 2009 – 2010 winter season with a road victory
over the Illinois Valley Dolphins by a score of 383 –
360. After each meet, the coaching
staff picks two swimmers, one girl and one boy, as the “Big
Dogs" of the meet. Big Dogs are not only selected on their
performance in the meet, but the coaches also take into
consideration the swimmer’s practice attendance, work ethic, team spirit and
sportsmanship. For this meet, Madisyn Grever, age 10, and
Zachary Zographos, age 8, were selected as Big Dogs of the
meet.
DCST had 20 swimmers who had at least two personal best times in
the meet. These swimmers were: Autumn Baker, Sadie
Burton, Alyssa Ferrigan, Erin Fidler, Bailey Flemming, Madisyn
Grever, Michael Kessler, Meagan Maish, Abby Pardridge, Emily
Raetzke, Hannah Regan, Riley Regan, Sarah Robertson, Elissa Roose,
Amanda Underwood, Jessie Weber, Catherine White, Elizabeth White,
Danielle Zographos and Zachary Zographos.
DCST’s next meet is next Saturday (October 31) at home
against McHenry County and Streator.
