On a bright Saturday this past
weekend, two senior members participated in their 4A Region
Championship meets at McClintock pool in Tempe. Dillan Keith and
Abhishek Rajadas put in great performances to qualify for the
upcoming 4A High School Swimming Championships next weekend.
Dillan Keith became Region champion
in the men's 200 IM taking the gold in 2:11.57, and then went on
narrowly missed a second crown, finishing 2nd in the men's 100 Fly
in 57.12.
Abhishek, debuting as a freshman in
his first region meet, finished on the podium in third place in
both his 200 Free (1:55.98) and in his 100 Back (58.68).
All four individual swims by the two
were lifetime best times. Congratulations to Dillan and Abhishek on
their great swims and qualifying for the 4A state meet!
