October Head Coach Updates

Hello PACK families!

As we make our way through October, the newly elected Board of Directors and staff of Premier Aquatics would like to wish our PACK families a Happy Halloween! As we have seen a wonderful Intra-Squad, our first couple of meets, and the new members ofthe Board of Directors take their place, PACK is off and running!

PACK SwimAThon…Participation that Makes a Difference!

PACK has embarked on its second annual SwimAThon and has goals to raise at least $30,000. Last year the money raised was used for an amazing banquet and new team camera system! We will continue to utilize the money raised for team enrichment and development. With the prizes that are out of this world, it is easy to get involved! I am asking that each family make a concentrated effort to raise as much money as possible for the team. With this being the only fundraising event that PACK hosts, we need it to be a smashing success!

We desperately need full participation from all…and, at this point, a bunch of the coaches have volunteered their bodies for the cause. There will be a coach’s relay to complete the 200 laps in 2 hours and we will make a big effort to fundraise as well. I will take email pledges from team members that want to watch us go through pain…and smile knowing you helped make it happen. Thanks in advance to all who participate!

Intra-Squad Success…The Vision of Team!

The Intra-Squad meet was a HUGE success! The theme for the meet was all about dreaming, and I heard some great ones along the way. At PACK, we want all of our swimmers to dream big, dream often, but no matter what….just dream!

The “Big’s and Little’s” program made its debut helping our younger swimmers connect with our older swimmers; it was truly a great display of family, fun, and development for all. As one of our goals is to create a safe environment for swimmers to grow as people and swimmers, the Intra-Squad seemed to quickly imply that we are well on our way!

We also elected new members to the Board of Directors. With our first meeting and designation of positions behind us, our new Board members are off and running! I would like to take this time to express my unending debt and heartfelt gratitude to our out-going Board members: Kevin Little and Doug Massey…your care and objectivity for the vision of Premier Aquatics is greatly appreciated.

Parent Orientation…Just Another Way to Help Our Wonderful Families!

We held our first parent orientation and have had many positive comments. Despite our internet connection being flaky, we still managed to give parents a tremendous amount of information to help guide them through the year.

Didn’t make it? No problem! Just log into our team website, click on the Swim Info tab, then on the Parent Survival Guide. And although you won’t get to hear me crack jokes along the way…it gives a very detailed accounting of the topics covered at orientation!

More ways for PACK to help our families!
