Dear Parents,
Welcome back to another exciting week of
Condor Swimming. This past weekend was one of the most efficient
and best run meets we have ever run and it is thanks to our
Parent Volunteers. We have some scheduling issues as Clarkstown
is hosting the High School Section I meet and we won’t be
able to swim at Felix Festa, but please read on for more
information.
Condors Fall Festival “Best Home Meet
To Date!”
We have received numerous compliments from
other teams, parents and coaches on how well-run our meet was. We
also heard many coaches say this was the most competitive meet we
have ever hosted, and they will be returning. Our swimmers swam
great this past weekend shattering many team records and qualifying
for MIT and various championship meets.

weekend’s meet.
Upcoming Meets
November 6-8th the Condors are
participating in 3 different meets. Our Senior swimmers will be
attending the AGUA Invitational. Our 8 & Unders will be
attending the Condors Hosted 8 & Under Swashbuckler Swim
meet at WCC and Bronze, Silver and Gold will be attending the NYSA
Meet at Felix Festa.
MIT Hotel Information
We have reserved a block of rooms at the
Residence Inn Boston Cambridge. It is the same hotel as last year
and we have a special rate of $129 per night. The rooms are a 1
bedroom suite with full kitchen, includes breakfast (more details
on that to come) and is in walking distance of the pool. Parking is
not included however.
to make reservations, or you can call 800-331-3131 and ask for the
Condors Swim Club room block. Reservations must be made by Nov.
19th to get the rate and be guaranteed a room.
8 & Under “Swashbuckler
Swim” – November 7th
We are hosting an 8 & Under only meet on
November 7th at WCC. We will need help from all our 8
& Under parents, as the rest of our team will either be at the
Sharks meet or AGUA. This will be a great opportunity for our new
parents to learn what goes into running a meet, and I strongly urge
parents to start signing up for volunteer positions.
Interest in Condors Holiday Dinner and
Dance?
We are starting to plan our team functions and
want to see how many parents are interested in a Condors Holiday
Dinner and Dance at the Town & Country. Tentative date and time
is Dec. 19th 6-10pm and the cost will be approximately
$25 for adults and $15 for kids. These are estimates as the more
people we have attend, the cheaper the price will be.
Fundraising
The Calendar Raffles start this Sunday, try to
sell and hand in any tickets still out there. If anyone would like
to get additional packets, please contact Tom at Fundraising@CondorsSwimming.com
Gold Dryland Carpooling
Anyone interested in carpooling to and from
Westrock on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Gold group's dryland,
please contact Coach Wagner at Don.Wagner@CondorsSwimming.com.
