Congratulations to the
Clippers who achieved one of the biggest awards in the
sport....Scholatic All-American. These swimmers are not just
getting it done in the pool but they are also blazing it up in
the classroom. We are very proud of our swimmers for reaching
this prestigous award.
The Scholastic All-America Team
is comprised of high school student-athletes, who have a grade
point average of 3.50 or higher, and have achieved a specific time
standard (faster than sectionals) in an individual event
during the qualifying period. They must have completed 10th, 11th
or 12th grade and be a USA Swimming member athlete. For further
requirements, information and deadlines, please reference the
applications form.
Three certificates will be
awarded to each individual achieving Scholastic All-America status
(one for the athlete, one for the school and one for the USA
Swimming club). A special pin will be awarded to individuals
earning a 4.00 grade point average. A special award will be issued
to individuals named to the team three times.
This year’s application and
time standards should be available in December. Please keep your
eye out for the form. Note: These forms cannot be filled out by the
Clippers or we would. Swimmers transcripts are needed at the end of
the school year. We can only remind you.(We did have a couple that
did not turn in the forms this past year!!!)
