Only a swimmer knows how long a second
is...
Each meet has different time standards.
Some meets have now time standards - such as Challenges, where any
swimmer can enter the meet.
However, some meets, like the upcoming Age
Group Invite, PNS Champs and Washington State Senior
Championships, have higher cuts. These time standards not
only are listed on our swim region (Pacific Northwest Swimming
at www.pns.org, look under
fast times - 2009 - 2010 time standards), but are also located on
our own ESC website under the Team Info button - time
standards. Under the Time standards button you
will find all the higher cut/championship meets time standards,
which are currently available, in an pdf. format.
Want to figure out if you made the cut?
An easy way is once you are signed into ESC’s website to look
under your account - My Meet Results - there you can compare your
meet results to a variety of time standards. If the time is
RED it will show you the number of seconds/minutes you have yet to
achieve to enter the event. If your time is GREEN,
CONGRATULATIONS! you have achieved the time standard to enter
into the coorsponding race.
Current Time Standards have been updated, so
play around and have fun.
