Wouldn’t it be great to know right away
if there was a practice change due to weather or pool issues?
Now you can receive a text as soon as a practice change is made.
NWAA is set up on twitter, and Coach Steve will send
out a “tweet” if practice is changed. It’s
easy to sign up, and you have complete control over who you receive
“tweets” from. If you have a twitter account,
start following the Sharks today (nwaasharks). If you
don’t, take just a few minutes and follow the instructions
below to get all set up.
Set up your twitter account

Go to www.twitter.com

Click the “Sign up now!” button
·
Follow the instructions to set up an account
Next, set up your phone so that Twitter can
send text updates from NWAA Sharks to your phone

Click on Settings in the upper right menu bar.

Click on Devices,
§
Enter your mobile number,
§ Check the
box to approve texting
§ Click
Save.
·
Follow the instructions to verify your number by texting the given
code to 40404.
·
You will receive a text back right away from Twitter verifying that
you have enabled text alerts.
·
Click on Home again in the upper right menu bar.
Start to follow nwaasharks
·
Click Find People in the upper right menu bar
·
Type nwaasharks
·
Click the “Follow” button
·
Click on the Sharks logo that appears to go the nwaasharks home
page.
·
You should see a green check mark next to the word Following.
To the right, click on the phone icon to enable text updates.
It will turn from grey to green. Now you are all set!
