Condors Shine at High School Championships

 

Congratulations to all of our Condor Swimmers who participated in the Girls High School Section One Swimming and Diving Championships this past week.  Fifteen Condor girls represented six separate high schools at the championship meet. 

Six Condors swimmers have finaled in these events and qualified for the New York State Championship meet November 20 – 21 at the Webster Aquatic Center in Rochester, NY:

·         Cara Morris (100 Fly)

·         Olga Krestyaninova (100 Breast)

·         Stephanie Malyszka (200 FR Relay, 400 FR Relay)

·         Katie Chung (100 Back, 200 FR Relay, 400 FR Relay)

·         Rachel Kim (50 Free, 100 Free, 200 FR Relay, 400 FR Relay). 

·         Monica Poleway (200 IM, 3rd in the 100 Back, 200 FR Relay, 400 FR Relay)

 

Also, Cara Morris and Olga Krestyaninova finaled in the 50 FR, Katie Chung was a finalist 200 IM and Stephanie Malyszka was a finalist in the 200 & 500 Free.  Congratulations to freshman Rachel Kim who won the sectional title in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 53.11.

 

Stephanie Bonifacio, Julie DeSimone, Jackie DeSimone, Haruka Mauro, Olive Bernstein, Brianna Keaveney, Taylor Hodges, Savannah Wagner, and Erica Richardson all swam great in the meet.  We are proud of all of our athletes and their hard work this year.  We are excited for their continued success.

 

Congratulations to Coach John Edwards for leading the Clarkstown High School Girl to a 5th place overall finish, the best in many years.
