Chico AquaJets Win Gold in Woodland
The Chico AquaJets participated in
the Woodland Long Course Meet this past weekend. Madison Hopkins,
age 8, won gold in the 50 meter backstroke with a 46.41, the 50 m
freestyle in a 38.73, the 50 m butterfly with a 41.24, and the 100
m free with a 1:27.20. Darcie Anderson, 15, swam to gold in the 200
m breaststroke with a 2:47.79, the 50 m free in a 28.69, and the
100 m free with a 1:01.84; she swam to silver in the 100 m breast
with a 1:18.38; bronze in the 200 m free in a 2:16.38; fourth in
the 400 m free with a 4:48.15 and the 200 m individual medley in a
2:34.68; and swam to a fifth place finish in the 100 m fly with a
1:09.35. Allison West, 16, swam to gold in the 200 m free in a
2:13.22 and the 200 m fly with a 2:30.26; she earned silver in the
200 m I.M. In a 2:33.17; bronze in the 100 m fly with a 1:09.14;
sixth in the 200 m back with a 2:41.28; and eighth in the 50 m free
with a 29.78.
Cydni Aird, 12, earned fourth in the
50 m back with a 36.74 and fifth in the 400 m I.M. with a 6:14.62.
Brigid Ehrlich, 13, swam to fifth in the 50 m free with a 30.34 and
the 100 m free with a 1:04.54, she swam to sixth in the 200 m fly
with a 2:47.03. Connor Hughes, 11, swam to sixth in the 50 m fly
with a 36.39. Kathleen West, 13, earned an eighth place finish in
the 200 m breast with a 3:11.39. Kimberly Harbert, 10, swam to
eighth place in the 100 m fly with a 1:41.66.
