Kate McNeilis swims to her first Olympic cut

Kate McNeilis swimming in her first US National Championship meet swam best times in the 100 yard and 100 meter Backstroke.  Her time of 1:04.19 was .50 under the Olympic Team Selection time standard of 1:04.59 earning her the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Trials in Omaha this summer.  On Friday, swimming in the Short Course format she bettered her previous time of 57.30 to a 55.96 taking 32nd place overall.
