The first annual Swim For Saxon was an ocean swim around Queenscliff Headland in memory of champion swimmer and surf lifesaver Saxon Bird, who was lost his life tragically at the age of 19, while competing in the 2010 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships at Kurrawa.
