Swimmers sweep Lawrenceville and McDonogh
The Peddie girls' and boys' swimming teams shot past
Lawrenceville and McDonogh School this past Saturday at the Aquatic
Center, grabbing the fastest time in 16 of the 22 events contested
on the afternoon.
The Falcon girls cruised by Lawrenceville 121-49 and McDonogh
while the boys defeated Lawrenceville by a 121-49 margin and topped
McDonogh School 90-80.
Peddie girls opened the day with a victory in the 200-yard
medley relay. The quartet of Kendy Nangle, Laura Morley, Emily
Schroeder and Molly Mucciarone touched the pad in a time of
1:49.99. On the boys' side, the medley team of Cal Rohde, Forrest
Davis, Patrick Park and Alex Rosen overcame a McDonogh lead at the
midpoint and got to the wall first with a time of 1:36.84.
Nangle won the 100 freestyle in 54.04 and the 100 backstroke
in 57.83. Peddie's other double-winner was Park who claimed the 200
individual medley (1:56.64) and the 100 butterfly (49.57).
