USA Swimming will hold their annual Diversity Select Camp May
3-6, 2012. Applicants who are selected will be invited to
spend three days at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (OTC) in
Colorado Springs, CO. The stay includes pool training,
motivational and education sessions, and team-building
activities. All swimmers who meet the following requirements
are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is
Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The last opportunity for FAST
swimmers to achieve the time standards will be Junior Olympics,
February 9th-12th.
Applicants must:

Be between 14 and 16 years of age on the first day of
camp -- May 3, 2012

Have achieved at least one of the camp time standards --
listed
here -
Represent an ethnic population that is under-represented in
USA Swimming
Thirty-six swimmers (18 boys and 18 girls) will be
selected:
-
The swimmers with the fastest time in each of the 26
Olympic events
-
Three swimmers of each gender with the highest IMX
scores
-
One male and one female based on outstanding performance in
one or more events
