On the weekend, Lethbridge played Host to the Alberta Summer Games.The LA Swim Club was represented by 7 individuals; Raine Arden, Jordan Calladine, Sarah Little, Jordan Okken, Payton Terry, Emily Wauters, and David Zhang.These seven swimmers swam to an impressive 37 individual best times.
Leading the Zone One Sunny South contingent was Jordan Calladine.In the 50m backstroke Calladine swam to victory, also posting a first ever Canadian Age Group Championship qualifying time.In the 100m event Calladine backed up her performance with silver medal, improving her best time by over 6 seconds. Calladine swam like a star, also posting top 8 finishes in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 back, and 50m free.
Also cracking the top 8 were, Arden (6th 50m fly), Little (5th 50m fly, 50th 100 IM), and Zhang (7th 100 Fly, 6th 50 Fly, 8th 100 IM).
Head Coach Brad Mori, indicates "it's been a fantastic Long Course season for the team.I credit our Assistant head coach John Calnan and the rest of the staff for preparing the kids for these performances.The swimmers went out and really put on a really good show for us"
