Brad Mori Resignation Announcement

Dear Swimmers, LASC Families & Friends,

At the end of the 2011-2012 swimming season I will be resigning as the Head Coach & Director of Swimming for both the LA Swim Club and University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

This was a difficult decision to make, as I have enjoyed coaching the full spectrum of athletes that this position offers.   Over the last 7 years, the Lethbridge Swimming program has seen significant growth in numbers and the level of competitive performance.

However, with a young family my priorities are shifting and change is needed to balance work and family.  Change helps people to step outside their comfort zone and continue to grow professionally and as individuals.   My family needs a change.  Change will also allow the club and its athletes to continue to grow.

I first arrived in Lethbridge 15 years ago as a student athlete.  Upon graduating I moved into teaching and coaching, then into my current role as Head Coach for both LASC/UofL.    Lethbridge became home.  The swimming community, university community, and the people of Lethbridge opened their arms and homes to Lindsay, Bauman, and I.  We appreciate all the support from family, friends and acquaintances.  Thank you all for making the Lethbridge experience fantastic.  With Calgary as our next destination, we will not be too far from Lethbridge.

For the athletes I have personally coached over the years, you have each made this such an incredible experience.  Watching each of you grow and develop as athletes and as people as been the most rewarding aspect of what I do.  I look forward to seeing your continued growth and wish you all the best.

To the staff, thank you for all the great work you have done to help move this boat forward.  Your input with ideas and hard work has been incredible. You are the strength of the program.

To the incoming UofL recruits, the university experience offered at the U of L is incredible.  Even with my departure, this remains a fantastic opportunity for your CIS student athlete experience.

The LASC board has begun the search for a new Head Coach.  If you have questions on the position or status, your questions/concerns should be directed to Bozana Sljuka LASC club president, or Sandy Slavin, UofL Athletic Director.

Again, thank you Lethbridge!
