Is less than three weeks away.
The registration deadline is July
29. All regular swimmers are currently signed
in. If your swimmer is not able to attend, please
sign out by July 29.
Swimmer Nutrition:
We are very lucky this year to
have an expert on nutrition on our team. Izzie Brown from San Jose
State University has created a document on proper nutrition
specifically for our MSC swimmers. To read this very informative
document and get your swimmer ready for OMPA, just click on the
following link:
Gator Café:
For our
meet against Sleepy Hollow this Wednesday, July 22nd the Gator Cafe
will be up and running with our regular fare of Hamburgers, Turkey
Burgers and Hotdogs along with Chicken Burritos from Mucho Wraps.
With the forecast being what it is, we anticipate the hot
chocolate and Cup O' Noodles being popular items as well. See
you at the pool!

Spirit Wear:
Be looking for the OMPA T-Shirt order form. We’ll be distributing the form via email and will post it on the website as well. We strongly request all swimmers and parents to purchase an OMPA T-shirt. Each year the coaches come up with a special design for the OMPA swim meet. The more gators that have a shirt, the more spirit we exhibit at the meet. WE WANT TO BE SEEN and HEARD at OMPA this year!!!

the family folders are positively bulging with ribbons, team photos
and popped time lollipops. Please check your family
folder. If you can’t find your folder, please contact
Lisa DeLillo.

Date
Night:
Please
join us for this fantastic Gator tradition on Saturday, August 1 at
the Simon-Parker house in Moraga. Children and coaches of all age
groups are treated to a sit down dinner, dancing and games. Cost is
$20 per child. Look for the evite that has already been sent to
RSVP. If you have any questions, please contact Jayne
Skwarecki.
Gator Fundraiser:
The Karachi Family has opened up
their Round Table Pizza in Pleasant Hill to the Gator Family &
Friends for a night of fundraising on Monday, July 27th.
Present the coupon or mention MSC at the time of ordering and 15%
of your total bill will go to Miramonte Swim Club. There will
be extra certificates to pass out to your friends and family.
They will be in the front of the family mailboxes. Take some
to work, pass them out to your neighbors, whatever you can do to
help out your swim club. It’s such an easy way to earn money
for our swim club. Be sure to look in your family mailbox at
the pool for an orange certificate that gives all the
details.
Swim-a-thon:
This year's swim-a-thon will
run from 4-6:30 on Friday, July 31 in lieu of afternoon
practice. There will be swim-team practice in the morning. It
is an all-team event. Swimmers who meet their age group goal,
swim the most laps, raise the most money or get the most sponsors
will receive Loard’s Ice Cream gift certificates. We hope to
raise over $5000 to purchase a timing system as well as shade
structures for timers for the 2010 season. New this
year: Gators can also sponsor their coaches for as little as
a nickel a lap. We hope every Gator will participate and
raise a minimum of $25. Look for the green flyer in your family
folder. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Hamilton
at dukehamilton@yahoo.com.
