MAC has a great showing at the LSC Championships

Congratulations to everyone, coaches included, for the fantastic showing at the LSC Championships this past weekend.  MAC had a total of 21 first place finishes and 22 new team records!  The first place finishers were Eliza Manning, who won every event she swam (10 & under girls 500 free, 100 free, 200 IM, 100 IM, 100 breast, 200 free, 50 free, and 100 fly), Sean O'Connell, who won all but one of the events he swam (10 & under boys 500 free, 100, free, 200 IM, 100 IM, 200 free, 100 back, and 100 fly), Lauren James (11-12 girls 200 back, 100 breast, 400 IM, and 200 breast), Christina Hyrkas (13-14 girls 200 breast), and Margot Manning (13-14 girls 50 free).  Eliza set new team records in the 9-10 girls 50 free, 100 fly and 100 IM.  Lauren James now owns team records in the 11-12 girls 200 back, 100 breast, 200 breast, and 400 IM.  Kiersten Bell lowered the standards in the 17-18 girls 500 free, 1000 free and 1650 free (1000 and 1650 were also new Open girls records).  Katelyn Rossick topped the best team time in the 17-18 girls 400 IM.  On the boys side, Sean O'Connell is the new record holder in the 9-10 boys 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 IM, and 200 IM.  Last, but not least, Mitch Reynolds lowered his own record in the 11-12 boys 400 IM.  It should be noted that many of Eliza and Sean's records were some of the oldest on the books.  There were 3 new relay records - the team of Margot Manning, Jacy Icard, Chelsea Rossick, and Hanne Borgersen broke the 13-14 girls 400 free relay record.  Jacy Icard, Christina Hyrkas, Hanne Borgersen, and Margot Manning topped the 13-14 girls 400 medley record.  Finally, Jake Carlsen, Muhammad Hudhud, Evan Kolovich, and Sam Ciocco lowered the 13-14 boys 400 medley record.  Way to go!
