April 16, 2009
This is the MAC News for Thursday, April 16th.
Frederick County Advocates for Sports Teams (FCAST) came together quickly in response to Frederick County's proposal to shut down the three county pools (thus eliminating swimming and diving from FCPS) and cut 9th grade sports. The first official meeting of the group will be held at Urbana High School this evening at 7:00 pm in the media center. Anyone interested in being involved in this effort is invited to attend.
Don't forget, entries for the 2009 Swim Like a FISH Invitational scheduled for June 13-14 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 pm SATURDAY.
Anyone interested in contributing pictures for the slide show to be shown at the end of the season banquet should e-mail them to Terri Bush at email@example.com place them in the Bush folder by Monday.
We are still looking for a volunteer or two to take over the MAC News. If you are interested in helping out, please contact both Liz Brabson (firstname.lastname@example.org) and John Borgersen (email@example.com).
