This is the MAC News for Wednesday, April 8th.
Congratulations to everyone who competed in the MSC Spring Fling meet this past weekend!
Don't forget, practice resumes tomorrow. The practice schedule through the weekend will be as follows - Senior Red and Black will swim from 7:00-9:00 am tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Senior White will swim from 7:00-9:00 am tomorrow, Friday, and Monday and from 9:00-10:30 am on Saturday. Age Group II will swim from 9:00-10:30 am tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Senior Prep and Masters will swim from 5:30-6:30 pm tomorrow. Monday's practice for this group will be normal - 8:00-9:00 pm. All Age Group I and Novice practices will run on a normal schedule - Age Group I from 4:30-6:15 on Friday and from 7:30-9:00 am on Saturday, both practices in the indoor pool, Novice I from 4:30-5:30, Novice II from 5:30-6:30, and Novice III from 6:30-7:30 pm on Thursday all in the indoor pool and all groups from 10:30-11:30 on Saturday in the bubble.
For those of you planning to attend the NAAC Spring Long Course Elite Meet ( www.mdswim.org/Top_Nav/Meets/2008-2009_Schedule_Results/NAAC_Spring_Long_Course_Elite_Meet.htm) scheduled for May 2-3 at St. Mary's College in St. Mary's City, the entry deadline HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 7:00 pm TOMORROW. In order to avoid being closed out of the meet, we MUST have the entries by this date. The meet is open to all of our 11 year and older swimmers with long course "A" times and our 10 & under swimmers who meet the modified "BB/A" times in the meet notice. The fee for one day is $25 and two days is $47. If you have any questions as to whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.
Don't forget, RSVPs for the end of the year banquet are due to the Banquet folder by next Tuesday, April 14th. Questions should be directed to Helene Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org at 301-607-6475. Anyone interested in contributing pictures for the slide show to be shown at the banquet should e-mail them to Terri Bush at email@example.com place them in the Bush folder by Monday, April 20th.
Please be aware that in early May, Hood will
be performing maintenance on the outdoor pool and MAC practices
from May 7th - May 16th will be moved to either Frederick High or
Middletown High. More information will be posted soon.
The bubble will be coming down that Saturday, May 9th, so be sure
to reserve that date on your calendar now as we will need
