Congratulations to all of our Novice swimmers who competed at the CAA Mini meet

This is the MAC News for Monday, October 15th. 

Congratulations to all of our Novice swimmers who competed at the CAA Mini meet this past weekend.  A recap will be posted here once the complete meet results are available. 

Congratulations are also in order for Laurel Brabson and George Rossick who were named to USA Swimming's Scholastic All-American Team for 2006-2007.  To be eligible for this list, swimmers must be at least a sophomore in high school, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, and qualify for and compete in a Sectional meet or higher.  The entire list may be found here: 

For those of you who are taking advantage of the payment plans for your dues, TODAY is the due date for the 2nd payment.  If you have not yet made your payment, please put a check in the file in the baby pool or mail it to Fred Manning at 8439 Rocky Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702.  If you need an invoice sent to you, please contact Fred at fredmanning@comcast.netTo everyone who has paid in full, thank you! To those who have yet to make a payment, please pay in full THIS WEEK.  Remember, MAC is a volunteer run organization and we appreciate your help in paying promptly. 

Please check your folders.  USA Swimming registration forms for 2008 have been distributed to all returning swimmers (swimmers new to MAC completed this process when they registered for the team).  Extra copies of the registration forms may be found in the file marked “Blank Registration Forms.”  Please complete the registration form and place it the “Membership” file, along with a check for $64.00 made payable to “MAC.”  All checks and forms must be turned in on or before Friday, November 2nd.  The current registration will expire on December 31st and your child will not be allowed to practice or compete unless their registration is current.  If you have any questions, contact Ed Goundry at 

Entries and fees for the HARY Harvestfest ( and the GBSA Thanksgiving Swimfest ( are due to the meet entry folder by 10:00 am Saturday, October 20th. 

The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble.  Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Novice or Masters.
