This is the MAC News for Wednesday, October 31st - Happy Halloween!
Thanks to everyone who brought goodies for the Novice Halloween party last night. Everyone had a screaming good time!
Here is a rundown of the practice schedule changes for the rest of the week due to trick-or-treating and the meet this weekend. There will be no Age Group I practice this evening to allow our younger swimmers to trick-or-treat. On Friday evening, Coach Andy will be at UMBC with those swimmers attending the evening session of this weekend's meet. Therefore, Senior Red and Black swimmers have 2 options for Friday practice. They may train in the morning from 5:15-7:30 in the bubble. This is the suggested option. If your Senior Red or Black swimmer is unable to train in the morning, they may swim in the evening with Senior White from 5:45-8:00. Please do this ONLY if you are absolutely unable to swim in the morning as the pool could be quite crowded. Coach Andy will be at the meet again on Saturday morning, so any Senior Red or Black swimmer not attending the meet Saturday morning should plan to swim with Senior White from 9:00-10:30 in the bubble.
As far as the meet goes, there has been a schedule change for Saturday afternoon only. Warm-ups for the Saturday afternoon session will begin at 12:30 and the actual session will begin at 1:30. Psych sheets, a timeline for Friday evening, and a warm-up schedule should be posted on our website later today.
Don't forget that Friday is the deadline for turning in your swimmer's 2008 USA Swimming registration, along with a $64 check made payable to MAC. This must be completed in order for your swimmer to continue to train and compete after December 31st. Questions regarding registration should be directed to Ed Goundry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The practice schedule for today is as follows - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30 and Senior Prep from 8:00-9:00 in the bubble. There is no practice today for Senior White, Age Groups I or II, Novice, or Masters.
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
